Dwarves a short and stocky in build. Do not make them too short however and be confused with a Gnome, or too thin and be confused with a Halfling. They have normal skin, hair, and eye colors.

Dwarves are strong-willed, hearty, stubborn, and quick-tempered. They like to build into the sides of mountains or hills and are great craftsman and miners. Many value honor, valor, and of course ale. While most are aligned neutral to good, there are known to be dark dwarves that have gone mad with greed and power.

There are 2 dwarven gods on the pantheon:
Belios, God of Abundance and Duron, God of Wine and Celebration.

In general Dwarves get along with humans out of all the races. They have a strong dislike of elves for their snobbery, and goblins for their trickery. They are often at war with the orcs for both races are quick to temper and quick to sword.

Merfolk are bipedal nearkin of the oceans. They are tall and lanky humanoids and their skin colors are as varied as the waters they live in. Please choose shades of blue or teal so as not to be confused with a different race. Do not make them too bulky or you will be mistaken for an orc, or too small and be mistaken for a goblin.

Merfolk can be any alignment, some are fascinated by land walkers, while others tend to be isolationists. All merfolk must come up near land to trade however. Many merfolk were poached by human pirates, so they have a great distrust of humans and land walkers in general. Evil aligned merfolk use charm and trickery to lure humans to the edge of water so they may drown them. Some do it out of vengeance, while others just like a bit of dark mischief.

There is no merfolk deity, but those who have been acclimated to land walker culture on Gol Gilliath have taken to worshipping I'llene, Elven Goddess of Seas and Storms.

Drow are dark elves who prefer to live underground in caves, or in dark forests where there is little light. They are similar build to elves only with dark skin and silver hair.

Most drow have an evil or neutral alignment and are haughty, proud and condescending. They tend to be secretive isolationists, but still need to trade for things only obtainable during the waking hours.

If you are a drow try to do most of your activities at night. In the day, stay indoors wherever it is darkest. If you are out and about in the day, adopt a tired, irritable or grouchy behavior.

There are 2 drow gods on the pantheon:
Ourox, God of War. Icuna, Goddess of Moonlight.

Drow can tolerate their Elven brethren based on their shared heritage, but some harbor a deep distaste and resentment towards them. Drow dislike almost all other races and consider them inferior.

Humans are of average size and height with normal colored skin, hair, and eyes. They are very well rounded in terms of skills and are good jacks-of-all-trades.

Humans fall along all alignments. Their highest values are almost always power, wealth, or honor. War seems to easily find them, and often amongst their own kin.

They are a persistent race able to live and adapt to any climate by building structures and settlements.

They prefer the company of elves and dwarves. Any race with too strange a skin color seems to be off-putting to them. Most consider the nearkin races like merfolk and lizardmen to be subhuman and barely more than talking animals. There are plenty of exceptions due to the wide variety of personality types amongst humans.

Goblins are short creatures with long limbs, large heads, and pointed ears. Their skin can be red, blue, green, or brown depending on what environment they were born.

Goblins are cunning, mischievous, and enterprising. They tend to align neutral or evil and many are talented thieves, merchants, and con artists.

Some make their home in caves, and will often seek the protection of their drow neighbors. Others seek the company of orcs. They like to surround themselves with larger friends in case things start going south.

Goblins maintain a neutral opinion of most of the races except they despise and distrust elves. In general they are a bit foul mouthed and prone to insults, but they don't purposefully seek to isolate themselves from a potential customer, ally, or mark based on racial lines.

There are 2 goblin gods on the pantheon:
Edros, God of Thievery and Mischief. Uros, God of the Ostracized.

Elves are the wisest and fairest race, they are slender and pale skinned.
They tend to be neutral to good alignment, with a emphasis on neutrality. They consider other races affairs to be the petty squabbling of children, and prefer to stay out of most wars.

They are still skilled warriors in a battle, using speed and dexterity over brawn and bulk.

Elves are most at home surrounded by nature. They could never be happy living underground in darkness or surrounded by metal structures. They are often found living in forests and woodlands.

Elves get along with most nearkin, but find dwarves and humans too brash and uncouth. Orcs and goblins doubly so.

There are 2 elven gods on the pantheon:
I'llene, Goddess of the Seas and Storms. Yona, Goddess of Sunlight.

Lizardfolk are a nearkin reptilian race who live exclusively in the desert. They are average to tall in height and slender with extremely thin gangly limbs. Their skin can be yellow-green to yellow-orange. They have gold, orange, or red eyes.

Lizardfolk are a nomadic people. They often live off the back of paracers or morellatops as traveling merchants, bandits, or caravaneers. They have a tribal society, considered to the other races to be quite primitive and savage. Because of this they prefer not to keep the company of other races as the two cultures tend to clash.

They are wary of the other races, and regard them neutrally to distastefully but don't inherently hate any race. They prefer the company of drow and goblins above the others.

There are no lizardfolk deities, but some tribes worship different gods of the pantheon that they have been exposed to. Lizardfolk are superstitious so they take to religion quicker than other isolated races. Common deities include: Edros, Uros, Learus, and Yona.

Halflings are the most overlooked and underestimated of all races. They are happy to live an uneventful, quiet life in small farm areas. They are as small as a human child with average to stocky builds but not half as stocky as a dwarf.

They tend to be good to neutral in alignment, but most cannot be bothered to seek anything else but a comfortable life.

Halflings are cautious of all races due to being small and not the most adept warriors. Humans mistake them and often cannot help but treat them as children even if they are well into adulthood. Elves seem to take pity on them, but most other races largely ignore them.

There are no halfling gods, but some of the more worldly halflings have been known to worship Uros, Belios, and of course Duron.

Orcs are the largest, tallest, and most formidable race. They are muscular and tall in build and have varying shades of green skin. Do not make your character too short or thin, and avoid bluer shades as you will be mistaken for a goblin or merfolk.

Orcs can be any alignment but they tend to share an alignment with their tribe based on a steadfast code of values and beliefs. These values are variants of battle-based honor, valor, bloodthirst, power, and subjugation of other tribes or races.

They often dislike or hate all races except goblins. When they aren't infighting between themselves or other orc tribes, they are quick to war with any race, especially the equally quick-tempered dwarves.

There are 2 orc gods on the pantheon:
Golgirr, God of Vengeance. Vara, Goddess of Honor.
